Degree Days

Tracking "Degree Days" information is a method of understanding the amount of heating energy or cooling energy required to maintain a comfortable residence for any particular day. The high temperature (measured in Fahrenheit) is added to the low for the day and divided by two. The resulting number is then subtracted from 65 degrees (average). A negative number means it was a heating degree day, a positive one means it was a cooling degree day. Click here to view Fort Wayne Climate Data.
